Concordia Water Treatment Plant

4517 S. Hwy. 23
Concordia, MO 64020
660-463-2286

The current treatment facility was built in 2004.  It was put into full production in October of that year.  The facility is a state of the art, sedimentation/micro-filtration process.  The micro-filtration units are built by Hydronautics.  The up-flow clarification basins are pulsating clarifier units designed by US Filter Company.

The facility is currently one of only three micro-filtration treatment facilities in Missouri.  Concordia's water treatment capacity is 2 MGD (million gallons per day).  With the plants forward looking design, we are able to meet or exceed MO DNR regulations consistantly now and for the foreseeable future.

Our staff of four certified operators has collective experience of more that seventy five years.  Three of operators are "A" level operators as certified by the MO DNR.

Staff members and their certifications are:  Superintendent, Kevin Thieman, A Water, C Wastewater, Distribution System III;  Asst. Superintendent, Roger Meyers, A Water, C Wastewater, Distribution System III, Certified Backflow Device Technician; Operator, Mark Luetjen, A Water, C Wastewater, Distibution System III, Operator Joe Boynton, D Water.
