Concordia Fire Protection District
Volunteers Making a Difference!
The Concordia Fire Protection District serves approximately a 100-square-mile area in southeastern Lafayette, western Saline and northeastern Johnson counties.  The 40-member volunteer fire and ambulance crew has the best response time in the state for a volunteer service.  The district provides 911 emergency service to its patrons.  The business of the district is handled by a three-person board of directors.

Eight of the crew members are strictly ambulance personnel and they are all qualified EMT's.  Qualified CPR instructors on staff provide CPR and first aid training for local businesses and groups when requested.

The district has six fire trucks and two ambulances available.  Both ambulances and one fire truck are equipped with auto-defibrillators.  Two jaws of life extraction tools are available for use at accident scenes, and thermal imaging cameras are located at both fire stations in Concordia and Emma.
